Hypergradients it is an audiovisual installation orignially created by Elías Merino as a sound work but completed as a collaboration with the visual artist Esstro9. Hypergradients is a collection of computer-generated audiovisual pieces based in a single-supershort digital sound particle. This particle becomes into complex morphologies, which explore the contraction and dilation of sound, tensions and narrative ruptures; from large tones to particular objects. The aim of the installation its to generate a flexible and malleable material exploring the discrete and continuous states in time and the time as a surface through algoritmhic behaviours and generative patterns. Repetition, microvariation and time superimpositions.
